I got to teach today! All day! My class is amazing. Many of the boys are getting their heads "buzzed" in honor of me. Even one of the girls went out last night and got herself an amazing haircut! One of the boys got pink bands on his braces. I have a feeling they will remember this year for a long time, if not forever. Thanks fifth graders! I love you all!
Hooray! Finally a normal day at school. You deserve it. Thank God for buzz cuts, braces and 5th graders. Praying for rest tonight and a repeat tomorrow at school.

Way to go! The kids were thrilled to see you, too! I'm sure they will remember this year fondly just because of you and your crazy, zany, creative teaching antics. Such a rockin' teacher and friend!!

You have waited weeks for a great day with your 5th graders and today the sun shone on you!!! I'm so glad for you, you more than deserve lots more days like this one and before you know it,it will June and on the road to "normal" and you will always remember "that 5th grade class that helped bring me through".Our prayers are with you and Randy and Kylie and Keagan each day through the good days we will laugh with you and on the bad days we will comfort and cry with you (and maybe even try to make you laugh then too.)

What wonderful news! I'm so glad you had a normal day. :) I'm thankful that, because of these wonderful 5th graders, when you look back on this year you will be able to look beyond the rough times and remember the great kids that carried you through. I know they will be able to remember a teacher that taught them the importance of courage, inner strength, and a positive attitude! You go girl!!

Yeah...leave it to Mrs. Maxson to make every day a great learning experience and really connect with her kids. I am so glad for your great day with all your kids! Laurie
ReplyDeleteI know a 5th grader who won't forget this year too. :) She's learning the importance of taking one day at a time and loving every single one of them to the fullest.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear the day went great! I walked into the school to volunteer the same day and was so touched to see the buzz cuts!! What an amazing community we live in, and what an amazing teacher you are!! I have a daughter that will never forget the year she spent with you, and a son who is enjoying his time in another fifth grade class, but always talks about ways you are touching him also!! May God bless you, as you bless others!!
