Power Port

This morning was way too quiet and I was feeling lonely. I did a lot of cleaning and putting things away to help pass the time. My mom came to take me to the hospital for the surgery. As soon as she got here, the hospital called and said things were running ahead of schedule, so could we please come early. The prep for this surgery was almost identical to the lumpectomy. The IV went into my hand pretty easily, but I am guessing it is going to leave me with a pretty good bruise. Dr. Hoberman came in to say hi and make sure we understood what would be happening. I was under conscious sedation which was a weird feeling.
Anyway, the power port is in and I am tired and sore. Otherwise all is well. Tomorrow I have 2 hour appointment with the radiologist and then a dentist appointment! Dr. offices close on Saturday and Sunday and therefore I am looking forward to the weekend!

How is life with a power port ? Sounds like something you plug in :)

Kidding aside, hope you have a good night, get some rest, and will give a call soon.

  4. Power ports and unending doctor appointments give new meaning to the phrase T.G.I.F.! Glad you can get a break this weekend. Keagan your words are some of the most powerful medicine you can give your mom right now. Way to go!

I am thinking a power port sounds like something that makes a boat go fast!!!! I thought of you all day and wished you could of shared little dogs and noodles with us. Your girls are wonderful, certainly a chip off the ol blocks. We love you guys and hope you all have a good night. Remember, silent prayers get answered.

  9. I love that you called it a power point rather than a power port on the phone today. Guess you're really being honest when you say you miss school :)! Looking forward to having you back next week.

  11. Dear Robin,

So glad to see you have a meal calendar up and running from this website!! I've already directed a couple of people to it. :) (I'm sure you realized I would be very limited on my ability to try to figure out how to set one up!)

Enjoy your appointment free weekend. Maybe lounging on those new sofas...!!! Rest well, stay strong and focused!! God has you safely in his arms. :)

    Love,
    Corla :)
