Quick Update

Thanks for reading my blog! I will just give a quick update tonight. I am doing o.k. I find myself sleeping like a teenager (until at least 9:00), taking an afternoon nap, and I am pretty much ready for bed again by 9:00. I guess my body is simply wiped out. I am just so thankful that I can sleep and get the rest I need to recover. My left hand and arm are swollen again. Not nearly as bad as it was a couple of weeks ago, but noticeable. My watery eyes are driving me NUTS and there is absolutely nothing I can do about it. The good news is that I have an appointment free week and I hope to keep it that way!!!!!

Kylie is gone to West Virginia on a mission trip. She gives me great hugs and rubs my back when I am sad and I miss both! Her birthday is on Thursday and for the third year in a row she will be celebrating it away from home. Please keep her and the entire youth group in your prayers this week as they are challenged to grow in their faith.

Keagan is healing up nicely from having her wisdom teeth out last week. We stayed pretty close to home all weekend and she is now starting to get into a summer routine.

I am going to sign off and maybe finish my first novel of the summer, House Rules by Jodi Picoult.

Good Night!

  1. Hi Sweetie,
Poor Keagan. Getting my wisdom teeth out is something I hope I never have to do. Yikes. I hope she's recovering well. Hopefully you will start feeling better soon. Real soon, right? Let me know when you feel up to a visit, or coming over for a visit.
    Love and prayers,

  2. Hi Robin,

Glad to hear that you are able to get some sleep. Now you just need to deflate that arm! Time for another water pill? Tell Keagan I'm glad that she's doing so well. Never having had my wisdom teeth pulled, I don't know just how bad it feels, but I can imagine it's no fun. I'll keep Kylie and her group in my prayers. Continued prayers for rest, healing and peace for you.

  3. I'm so sorry your arm is swelling up again, but can I just say I'm rejoicing with you over the appt free week. I would do almost anything for one of those. Hey, at this point even a day would be great! Hoping you get some relief soon and keep getting lot's of rest, nothing wrong with that!

  4. Dear Robin,

So glad you are getting rest! Maybe the thought of an appointment free week is helping you to rest and relax. :) Yes!! Sorry the arm is acting up again... Glad to hear Keagan is healing nicely. I'm sure she is very glad to be this far along! Hope Kylie and her youth group have a productive week. That's such a wonderful experience for them. You, your family, and the youth group will all be in my prayers!! Sleep well, friend...and hope your novel was a great read!!

    Corla :)
