The Night before Chemo

I don’t have much to say other than that I am not looking forward to round 4. I’m getting pretty tired of the whole thing to be honest. My mom will be taking me to get started at 9:00 and two friends from high school will be joining me a little later in the morning. I am looking forward to visiting them, just wish it could be under better circumstances.
I know I can count on all of you for prayers through this treatment. Specific prayer requests:
• Good night(s) of sleep for all of us
• Positive attitude
• Limited side effects
• That we will all be able to laugh at “chemo brain” moments in the future. I don’t think any one of us will ever forget how badly our house smelled when I tried to bake a pan of brownies with the oven on the broil setting!

My verse for tomorrow comes from Jeremiah 30:17 “But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds, declares the Lord.”

  1. Dear Robin,

I'll be praying your requests every "52" and more! May tomorrow be more about reconnecting with old friends than thinking about the chemo. :) As for the chemo brain, as long as nothing major is affected by it, I hope you can all enjoy the good laughs it may bring! May you feel God's arms around you tonight, tomorrow and the days ahead. He is with you and will be there to comfort you and strengthen you. :)

    Love,
    Corla :)

  3. I didn't know about chemo today until now, so I guess I'll just pray a general prayer for you. It sounds like you just need to be lifted up and feel God's presence and energy.

  6. Hey Robin,
As always you are in our thoughts and prayers daily. Your name is a common one in our house. We are having our share of ballgames and soccer games that makes for long days but always time to think of you guys and offer up a prayer for what ever you all need. Now you are more than half way!!!! Remember, the finish will be in sight soon and how good it will feel to cross it. I hope that life brings you lemonade even if the sun is not shining.

    Love you all,
    Cindy

  7. Dear Robin,
I hope your treatment was painless and catching up with old friends was fun. Praying that the side effects are few and the good the chemo does extraordinary! Just think, 4 down and 2 to go. I pray that God continues to bring you peace and a good night's sleep.

    Love,
    Sue
